Dan is a highly experienced trial and appellate attorney, having tried cases in all State Courts and in the Federal Courts as high as the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. Dan has had the privilege of arguing three (3) cases before the Ohio Supreme Court, most recently in February 2026 in the case of State ex. rel. Boggs v. City of Cleveland, 180 Ohio St. 3d 348, as well as being a significant part of a fourth case before the Ohio Supreme Court known as City of Norwood v. Horney, 110 Ohio St. 3d 353. These Ohio Supreme Court cases are very important precedent-setting cases in Ohio regarding the rights of landowners when the government takes their property for government purposes.
Since 1994, Dan has been a real estate, corporate and banking practice attorney with focuses on real estate litigation, eminent domain and other takings litigation, land use litigation, real estate transactions, banking and commercial lending transactions and litigation, business litigation, business transactions, privately held corporate mergers and acquisitions, and complex litigation.
Dan’s real estate proficiency from his over 3 decades of practice includes eminent domain and property tax litigation, contract drafting and negotiation, commercial financing, land use negotiation and litigation, business entity formation and administration, residential and commercial construction, foreclosure prosecution and defense, foreclosure acquisition and commercial condominiumization.
Dan’s commercial banking law experience includes acting as loan underwriting and litigation counsel for one national banking associations, as well as representation of numerous privately held commercial clients on loan structuring strategies, intercreditor agreement drafting and negotiation, loan work-out negotiation and litigation, and multilateral financing strategy, document negotiation and drafting and closing. Dan has further acted as counsel for a national title insurer and routinely handles advanced and complex matters involving real estate law, corporate law and escrow and underwriting policies, procedures and law.

Dan opened his private law firm immediately out of law school. Within the first year, he cultivated over 100 clients. Due to the exceptional client loyalty that he has been fortunate enough to develop and sustain, by his fifth year, Dan had developed a client base of over 1000 clients. Today, Dan’s practice ranges from Fortune 500 companies to new business start-ups, and everything in between.
Thanks to a referral from another attorney, Dan’s first unassisted jury trial occurred just two weeks after he passed the bar examination. Since that date, Dan has tried well over 100 cases to verdict and handled over 100 matters on appeal to the various appellate courts around the country.

Full Service Title Agency, Ltd. was a real estate title insurance and escrow agency, whose business included both residential and commercial real estate closings. Due to the success of Full Service Title Agency, Ltd., in December, 2002, it merged with Cuyahoga Title Services, Ltd., a much larger and firmly established title and escrow provider that is underwritten by all of the top six underwriters. Dan turned over his management responsibilities to Cuyahoga Title's majority member.

Dan presented several strategies designed to limit liability, manage the LLC efficiently, create desired results that may not coincide strictly with membership interests, limit the identification of the members to the general public, and discussed the resulting tax consequences of these strategies.
